Handmade Bespoke Kitchen

The project was designed by my customer’s son and I was commissioned to undertake the work. The kitchen was to be fitted in a 200 year old cottage which was interesting but had some fitting and design issues to overcome.

Mainly the low ceiling and the shape of the room. The cabinets were oak veneer with tulip wood frontages and had a sprayed finish to the lower units, and solid oak frontages to the upper units. Most of the units had drawers as opposed to doors to bring the goods to you, rather than reaching into the back of a cupboard. The kitchen was finished off with 30mm quartz worktops for that seamless look.

These photos show the process I took to build the components for the kitchen and the stages of fitting it.
